Winter Coats Are More Than Just An Accessory
They are essential for those in need
The seasons changing can be exciting for many people. They're ready for cooler weather and different activities. Unfortunately, many families in the Lawton, OK area can't afford to buy winter coats or other essential items every year. Some members of the community have to make do with what they have or go without.
The Transcending Lawton Foundation is stepping up to provide brand-new or gently used coats and blankets, as well as hats, gloves, scarves, toiletries and first aid kits bundled in care packages to families in Comanche County. That way, members of our community...
- Don't have to go without basic necessities that every human deserves due to financial hardships
- Are protected from the cold winter winds and temperatures
- Can maintain their health and hygiene
We are looking for 100 people to donate $25 towards care packages we will put together. These care packages will include socks, underwear, toiletries, gloves, winter hats, scarves, coats, and blankets. Additionally, we are looking for donations of new or gently used coats and blankets to give away with each care package.
